The Bible Society of Malawi has reaffirmed its partnership with the Catholic Church to make Scripture more accessible to people across the country.
The commitment was highlighted during a courtesy visit to Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa in Blantyre by a delegation led by Bible Society of Malawi Vice Chairman Dr Rabson Mgawi and Chief Executive Officer Mphatso Bello.
The delegation reported increased nationwide distribution of the Catholic edition of the Bible, Buku Loyera, during 2025. It also praised the Catholic Church’s annual Bible Month initiative, which encourages Christians to read, study and reflect on Scripture.
Archbishop Msusa welcomed the partnership and described the Bible as an important moral guide, particularly in confronting corruption and other challenges in society.
Both organisations expressed a commitment to strengthening collaboration and extending access to the Word of God to more families and communities.
Why it matters: Cooperation between religious organisations can help improve access to religious education and encourage Scripture engagement among Malawian communities.
