Malawi has reported more than 1,800 measles cases this year, raising concern about gaps in childhood vaccination.
In response, the Ministry of Health conducted a measles-rubella vaccination campaign in September, aiming to immunise 5.8 million children aged six months to nine years.
Health officials and community leaders are encouraging parents to ensure their children receive recommended vaccines to help prevent further outbreaks.
Why it matters: Sustained vaccination coverage protects children from preventable disease and helps stop outbreaks from spreading.
